Two new ryes have hit the shelves in the last couple months as the rye boom continues.
The Knob Creek Rye has a big spice quality and leans more on some bourbon flavors than some other ryes. Its absolutely a new favorite of mine. (currently $42 for a bottle in Oregon)
The Dickel rye is the same exact price as Old Overholt ($19 for a bottle in Oregon) and is very pleasant with a very attractive green label. Here’s an interesting write up about what Dickel Rye and Templeton Rye (which Whiskey Friends tasted this last weekend) have in common.
We heard it sold out already… But be on the lookout.
NOOOOOOO
will pick knob creek over maker’s next time – not because of the dilution news but ‘cause they’re a union shop #themoreyouknow
